July 13th

First of all, thank you ..for your time working with ABFR and getting involved on our site. I am proud of this ABFR site, having a considerable amount of time evolving to this point. Now its up to you.

I am happy to do the same for ABFR, as I had created, maintained the EBR site from the BEGIN to its web present success today. Just for some reason, I found myself not there no longer working on my own creation. Anyways, I am going to do the same for AFBR, support you ALL maintaining, cleaning up any problems, help you to understand. So please send me email for any reasons. For thsi sites success, it' all about content, links, submission search engines. So far so great... This time certain members will be designated to work certain pages. Menu item1-3 are up and editable to start and I will add more pages to the coding later.. Unlike EBR, whereas I worked adding content from a 'ToDoList' spending 20 hours a month and way a lot more at the begining evolving site structure, graphics and style as it is today. THIS TIME YOU GET TO HELP.

ABFR members will use a special online editor, call it content management system or CMS. You will instantly save live to web your changes Edits/ Adds/ Previewing the finished page. If so oaky, then Save. READ ON about SnippetMaster

Its all about the birds for me! Not people problems! Why the name is ALWAYS BIRDS FIRST... hopefully everyone gets along and communicates.

CMS SnippetMaster Editor will allows other volunteers the opportunity to help.

Webmaster Rod Minarik, I have birds too!

I have create new 3 User/Password for starters,
each for menu item 1,2, and 3
I have tested, seems quite simple & usable for users.

Test/// ...if the users can understand SnippetMaster, Content Management System aka CMS

Each Editable Numbered Menu item on our website is an HTML page.
Each has its own logon in user and password for now..
Basically, an user can be assigned the ability to edit any number of assigned pages

to EDIT  page1, aka menu item1 or our Contact Page
to EDIT  page2, aka menu item2 or our Mission Statement
to EDIT  page3, aka menu item3 or our Class Schedules

Later, when you are more comfortable with this new editor, we have 12 more pages, menu items to correct, edit and/or replace.

Logon as User/Password each item Contact, Mission or Schedule pages

AFTER YOU LOG ON...

On left you should see displayed a Folder pulldown box, Select DETAILS from pulldown and then click Open

Then, you should see on the right another File pulldown box,
Only 1 file will show currently per user logon and a test page for your experimentiung

Select the Editable Page (either contact, mission or schedules) ....and click Open

Now Go Here to log on..

You should then be in the EDITOR,

You can not edit the leftside menu or top header. When in the editor, you only can edit the 'white area'

One word of caution..After saving, test checking your work... Its a good idea to Final Test 800x600 and 1024x768 screen resolution. That is, right click your desktop, select properties and temporary check your resolution to the other,,, Afterwords, resetting it back to the resolution you normally like to work on your computer.

Please be consistent with style so all pages in this site conform. I usually try to be critical of myself on this point... This is a public world wide web! The technic understanding a Editor like this, is practice and ask questions is you need help.

If you select the ABFR TEST PAGE, and we suggest thats what you use to play with first, save and preview it to with your web browser! Doing this, having fun learning, using a new tool, and THEN when your ready for the new world, go for it ..
