Are

you adopt, the adoption fee is to be paid in full at the time the bird will be
picked up. Also, it is understood by you the adoptee that from that moment on
all expenses will be the adoptee's resbonsibility. This includes cage, food, toys,
and Avian Vet. care. As a foster home it is understood that ABFR will furnish
the cage, food, toys, and Avian Vet care. Always let one of the ABFR members know
if you need any more items for the bird and these will be arranged to get them
to the foster home. A receipt will be given for the adoption fee
and it you understand and agree that if for whatever reason the bird/parrot placed
with you does not work out that the bird/parrot must be returned to ABFR within
the first year of adoption anniversary and with the understanding that there is
no refund of the adoption fee. You further agree and understand that
by signing this adoption/foster home agreement that for the first year you must
have a current phone # and ABFR can and will make visits to check on the welfare
of the adoptive/foster family and the bird/parrot placed in their care. After
the end of the first year ABFR will always be available for the adoptive family
for help or concerns. The foster family must agree to stay in regular
contact with ABFR and notify immediately a ABFR board member of any illness, death
or escape of the foster bird. We also reguire a picture and need
your permission to use the photo in our "Success Stories". Each
adoption and or foster home is at the discretion of the the adoption committee,
which works very hard to place each bird in the most suitable home regardless
of previous applicants. Always Birds First Rescue does not have a "First
